Dubai ☀️

I recently visited Dubai to see my one of my best friends who is an Emirates air hostess out there. After mentally arguing with myself about should I shouldn't I spend the money on a holiday I decided to just bite the bullet and go!

Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for her - my friend was signed off sick the whole time I was there and therefore I got to spend some time with her in the sun!

I flew out on the 14th of may for 9 days, shit luck was that it was cloudy for the first two days, however my 'cloud tan' formed a great base tan before the strong rays for the rest of the week.
Of course I hit duty free on my way over. The wine was for my friend, you can't buy alcohol in shops (absolute madness) and the mac goodies, make up brushes and perfume were for me, what's a holiday without a duty free haul!

I arrived at 7am, first stop was the beach of course, followed by an amazing dinner at the meat company where I had one of the best steaks I had ever had.

My friend was staying in the crew buildings near the airport, her rooftop pool was where I spent most of my week working on my tan, when I wasn't hungover or dying from sun stroke (school boy error).

On the Sunday night we went for dinner (which turned into a liquid dinner) at the Marriott hotel overlooking the palm. The views in Dubai are literally amazing, as are the cocktails!

Tuesday night in Dubai is ladies night, where girls get free drinks everywhere, why this isn't a thing in England I am not sure but we went for dinner and drinks in mahiki and it was a lot of fun, not so much the next day but you just have to grin and bear it when a tan is involved.

I didn't get to do everything I wanted to but one thing I did tick off my list was the mall, the shops didn't interest me so much, but the aquarium with sharks and sting rays, I'm a sucker for sea life!

We also walked through the marina and down to JBR. The sky scrapers next to the beach took some getting used to - but again the views were all so surreal!

I'm already planning my next sun holiday!

The Wolf Run .

In April a few of the girls and I took part in the wolf run. Due to busy lifestyles we don't get to see eachother very often and we thought what better way to catch up than to run 10k and then push eachother over in the mud!

We entered purely as a bit of fun and therefore we all stuck together and powered through the pain and baltic conditions (and hangovers for two of the group).  I have to admit, I go the gym 2-3 times a week and thought I don't need to train I'll be fine, but it was TOUGH. We all absolutey loved it, it was such a great way to catch up and have fun doing something that didn't involve vodka or a restaurant!

Employees from my work also completed the run the day before, kindly the CEO purchased this photo of myself to put on the company website with a news article about the run, looking great ab.

We may be signing up for something similar in the near future - I'll deffinatley train for that one though!

Playing catch up .

I haven't blogged for a while as my life has been absolutely manic (in a good way). Started my new job, my sister had a baby, I've had a few trips and landed the most amazing boyfriend.

My new job I started in January; for anyone that knows me my career goals have always revolved around fashion. However I've tried to take the more 'sensible' approach and go for an experience based role in a slightly different field. When I say slightly.. medical products really couldn't be more far away from fashion but the role has been great for my cv/experience.

I previously wrote a post about my sisters pregnant glow.. Since she's had her baby, who is THE cutest baby in the world (I maybe slightly bias). My sister has slipped back into her size 10 jeans.. Not bitter at all (hoe) I absolutey love being an auntie, I get all the fun and a small percentage of lack of sleep and pooey nappies! See pictures below of evidence she is no.1 cutest child.

The forced selfie has moved from my dog to Lilia, still working on her selfie game.

My boyfriend, who ive spent the most amazing 7 months with has recently
moved to London - which means I get to have fun weekend trips! Can't wait to be a tourist and visit all the cute markets over the summer. I visited last weekend, and had so much fun, went for lunch (too many times), drank way too much gin and met some amazing people. However ive now after realised I can't pretend I'm rich everytime I go down, thank god for pay day!

GBK ruining my summer bod once again, promised myself il be good next time I go to London.

Fashion/travel/fitness (turning a new leaf) related blog posts to follow :)
