After being a loyal premier customer to ASOS throughout my undergraduate degree I had the heart renching postgraduate year of study with no student loan resulting in NO online shopping (I mean none whatsoever, so tragic). I even recieved an email asking me if they had done something to why I wasn't using the site anymore and they offered me a 25% discount code (it was like rubbing salt in the wound not being able to use it).
I have always loved ASOS with their generous discounts and reliable next day delivery which has saved me many of times when I have a wardrobe malfunction 24 hours before a night out. But I have to say with other online sites like missguided.com it doesn't suprise me that ASOS is on the downfall, espeically as it lowered itself to selling New Look and Primark. Don't get me wrong I shop at New Look and Primark but if I want something from there.. I would go into the store. The exclusivity of ASOS was that you couldn't buy it anywhere else? Just seems ridiculous to me to put a £8.00 primark top on the same site as your selling a £399.00 dress. ASOS - KNOW YOUR MARKET.
I would still personally shop on ASOS as I love scrolling through their thousands of items and I find their clothes to be much better quality than sites like boohoo.com where EVERYTHING is basically see through; however I know a lot of my friends find the task of finding items of clothing on their time consuming. Maybe its time for a revamp and to return back to their exclusive identity - just hoping they always keep their online student discount (i still have 3 months left to reap the benefits of that bad boy).
