When I first arrived we had the day to walk around, go for lunch and then we were meeting 2 other colleagues in the evening. One perk to a company trip is the expenses paid, as the food here is amazingggg, even in the cheap places!
As the first day was going to involve a lot of walk of course I went for a carb filled lunch, spaghetti bolognaise which was incredible!
I work for an orthopaedic implants and accessories company so the exhibition was filled with surgeons, we have recently rebranded so the stand was created just for this event:
It was very longgggg days on your feet, so of course the best thing to have at the end of the day with a glass of wine or seven.
On the second evening we went to a more upmarket restaurant, we had dinner on the river (weirdly romantic for a work dinner). I went for the steak which was one of the best I'd ever eaten, even though it was served in a bowl.
On the last evening we went to a more traditional restaurant, I HAD to try the goulash, I love to try the local cuisine. It's basically meat and potatoes in a stale bread roll as a bowl. Everything here is served with bread, all meat dishes come with half a loaf, it literally is carb city. With all the wine and cocktails too, alarm bells for my summer body.
Now on the last day (suffering a traumatic hangover) I would 100% return to Prague, just with my boyfriend or a small group of friends. The food and drink is so cheap you can easily get hammered or have a chilled weekend. It's such a romantic city and the architecture of the whole place is incredible, there's also blankets on every terrace at the bars so you can sit outside all evening (something the UK should take note of).
Cheers to more work trips!
